What to put in the message

We cannot see your device, and for most of our apps there is no account for us to look up, so the report is all we have. Four lines is usually enough:

  • Which app, and the version from Settings → About
  • Your Android version and phone model
  • What you did, and what happened instead
  • Whether you were on Wi-Fi or mobile data, and which country

Zip VPN

Version 1.0.17, Android 7.0 and up

Zip Browser VPN

Version 1.1.3, Android 7.0 and up

Ludo Arena

Version 1.0.2, Android 7.0 and up

Common questions.

A location will not connect in Zip VPN
Give it a moment before intervening: when a location does not answer, the app works down a queue of alternatives on its own, which can take a few seconds. If the whole country fails, pull to refresh the list. Free locations come and go, and a stale list is the usual cause. Best Location, at the top of the list, races every location we have rather than one country's worth.
The VPN works on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data
Mobile networks are stricter than home Wi-Fi about what they allow. The app already asks for the locations that work on the network you are on, so the first fix is to refresh the list while you are on mobile data rather than before you leave the house. If it still will not hold, tell us your carrier and country. That detail is the one that lets us reproduce it.
The connection drops and I do not notice
Turn on Kill Switch under Settings → Security. It blocks all traffic until the tunnel is back, so a drop fails closed instead of quietly leaking. Auto-Reconnect, on by default, brings the session back on its own.
I want some apps to skip the VPN
Settings → Security → Split Tunneling lists everything installed. Anything you pick carries on using your normal connection while the rest goes through the tunnel. Banking apps are the usual reason.
A download stalls in Zip Browser VPN
Downloads survive restarts, backgrounding and dropped connections, and resume at the byte they stopped at, so leave it rather than starting again. A file only joins your downloads once it is whole. If it has genuinely stopped, the download's own menu has a retry that reuses what has already arrived.
A site is broken with blocking turned on
Open the page information sheet from the address bar and turn blocking off for that one site. It stays off for that site only, and everything else keeps its blocker.
A table will not fill in Ludo Arena
Every table is its own queue, so a four-player Blitz game and a two-player Classic one are not waiting on each other. The busiest queues are four players and Classic; if you have picked an unusual combination and a high entry fee, there are simply fewer people asking for that exact table. Pick a lower rung or a smaller table and it will fill.
How do I delete everything an app has stored?
The Zip apps keep everything on your device: clearing the app's storage in Android's own settings, or uninstalling it, removes all of it, and there is no account for us to delete because there is no account. Ludo Arena is the exception, because a game against other people needs somewhere to keep your record. Delete that account from Settings inside the app, or from the account deletion page linked on its product page.

Still stuck.

Write to us. A real person reads it, and a good bug report gets fixed in the next release.
