Bring one question

The thing you cannot currently answer about your customers, your advertising, or the software you want built. A specific question is worth more than five vague ones.

No deck, and no pitch

We will tell you whether your question is measurable, roughly what it would take, and whether we are the right people. If we are not, we will say so on the call rather than in a proposal three weeks later.

You get it in writing

Afterwards: what we heard, what we would do first, and what it would cost. So you can hold it against anyone else's quote.
